Hi, I’m Leirn Russell, a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of Resilient Mind Counseling and Family Services, PLLC. I have been practicing since 2020 and feel truly grateful to walk alongside individuals and families on their journey toward healing and growth.

Years ago, after facing my own life challenge, a friend told me I was resilient. At the time, I had never given much thought to what resilience really meant. But the more I reflected, the more I realized that resilience has always been one of my greatest strengths—and to this day, it remains the compliment I hold most dear. It reminds me that even when life throws curveballs, we have the ability to lean on our strengths and grow through the hard moments.

My career began as a Special Education Counselor, where I had the privilege of working with students in grades K–12. Many of the children I supported were navigating challenges related to Autism, ADHD, and Emotional Disturbance. Together, we worked on building coping strategies, emotional regulation, and social skills to help them thrive both in and out of the classroom.

In recent years, my work has expanded into private practice, where I continue to support children and teens while also working with adults. No matter the age or stage of life, my desire is to help you discover your own strengths, reach your personal goals, and build resilience along the way.

Outside of counseling, I love spending time with my husband and our two children, ages 15 and 8. Traveling is one of my favorite pastimes, and I’ve had the joy of living in several places across the U.S. as well as Brazil. These experiences have shaped my appreciation for diverse perspectives and continue to inspire my work with clients every day. I also enjoy adventures with family and friends, trying new foods, and helping coach my son’s baseball team.
